Black Lives Matter

Stop Aboriginal Deaths in Custody.

In 1987, then Prime Minister, Bob Hawke, held a royal commission investigating Aboriginal deaths in custody over a 10-year period. The report gave over 330 recommendations.

These recommendations have still not been implemented and over 475 Aboriginal people have lost their lives since that 1987 Royal Commission.

FNWA and Australian Unions stand in solidarity with Aboriginal peoples as they continue their fight for justice.
